WOW! It looks like I’ve been thinking about Christmas cards all year long! You know what? You’re right!
This card was created at the end of July for the Chilliwack Agri-Fair. The category was Christmas.
I can never get enough of foil, especially red foil. Foil and glitter is just decadence on a card and I pull out all the stops when making Christmas cards! I had used the de-bossed (back) side of the snowflakes embossed card stock and glittered every snowflake with Cool Highlight Glitter. It’s tough to see the picture but you may catch a glimpse of it below.
I had wanted to play with an alcohol ink technique on glitter and Elizabeth Craft Designs are just PERFECT for that! I grabbed the gold Christmas Trees. I just placed the peel off on some burnished Cool Highlight Glitter. Then used Ranger Alcohol Inks in conjunction with the palette. (Don’t worry, I have a tutorial planned for this!)
I don’t recall which alcohol inks I had used (with this palette technique it’s so easy to just play) but just by looking at it I’d guess: Red Pepper, Watermelon, Bottle, Meadow and bits of Pesto.
Thanks for joining me today whilst I go through more cards to share with you this week!
Love,
