ACK! Have you ever been “haunted” by an idea? This is such a simple idea that I had been thinking about for sometime. So you’re asking, well it’s easy enough why didn’t you make it earlier? And what a great question that is! LOL I couldn’t think of a way to transition the ornament to the string to my liking. No matter what I had tried, I didn’t like how it came together. Until a few days ago I had seen a Pinterest post where the crafter (I’m sorry, I don’t remember who you are! If this is you, let me know so I can tell everyone how fabulous you are!) had used a rhinestone. Oh my gosh, it was an epiphany!
Card measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
-punch (or die cut) 2″ circles from assorted Christmas themed (or festive) card stock, treated papers (with foil, glitter, etc.) work great too.
-adhere 3 circles to card base and trace with a glitter pen
-draw in lines using a sparkly or glittery pen (I confess, I used a ruler!)
-attach rhinestones
-stamp sentiment
I just love, love, love this card! To make it a little more blingy, I used Twinkle Goosebumps which has sparkle than rhinestones. What’s also great, you can use up paper scraps!
I have a question for you. In my last post, I mentioned that I will be taking a break from Easy Peasy Christmas cards in December. What I didn’t realize is that you can still mail cards locally (in Canada) until the 19th for them to arrive in time. Would you like me to post up to December 14th and take January off? Or go with my original plan and take December off? I would love to hear from you

I love this Spike – what a fun idea. I like the way the ornaments shimmer.
