Paper tole, decoupage, 3D paper art…whatever you decide to call it that’s the challenge for this week’s Drunken Stampers Challenge! For this challenge we had create paper tole from scratch. We couldn’t use those pre-printed die-cut sheets. I decided to use a stamp. Stamp it multiple times then cut pieces out of it with each image, getting smaller and smaller so the end result gives you a 3D look.
This stamp has made it easy as the petals are layered in the image and I just emphasized it by decoupaging it.
I stamped 5 images, coloured them in all the same with Copics…then cut out the pieces I needed. I then treated them with DG3 Art Gel (it’s like Glossy Accents) to give them the glazed look.
Once dry, I assembled them together using pop dots (I know it’s thick for decoupaging but I really wanted to give it a 3D look and it’s large enough to handle it) to give this final piece.
Here it is all together on the card base. It also makes a fabulous Mother’s Day Card! ![]()

What’s in it:
Paper: Pastels (DCWV), SW Nature Designer Paper (K&Co), Classic Crest White (Neenah).
Stamp: Engraved Flower (Hero Arts), Sentiment (Verve).
Ink: Black Dye (Amuse), Jet Black (Archival Ink/Ranger).
Embellishments: Yellow, Orange Peel and Stardust (Stickles/Ranger), Lattice Pendants (Shapeabilities/Spellbinders), Fancy Tags (Shapeabilities/Spellbinders), DG3 Art Gel (Judikins), Tartan EF (Cuttlebug/ProvoCraft), Glossy Accents (Inkssentials/Ranger), Ribbon.
Copic: Y13, Y15, Y38, R29, R35, BG96, G99, 0.
Be sure to drop by the Drunken Stamper Challenge Blog to see how my wonderful fellow DT (Donna, Linda and Peggy) members handled this challenge. Give it a go! There are kits out there that you can purchase that are already done in duplicate, die cut and ready for you to stick together with dimensional dots BUT!! You can sooo do it yourself! Come play with us!
Thanks for visiting today! As always I appreciate your comments and support! Have a craftalicious weekend!
